The phenomenally talented and charismatic entrepreneur David Gold was our keynote speaker at the event and totally stole everyone’s heart and mind with his frank and honest account of his business life.

#178= in the Sunday Times Rich List and reputedly worth £300million, David started life in London’s East End helping his mother sell buttons from a market stall. His first business was a bookstore in Charing Cross from which he branched out into publishing, printing and distribution.

The amazing and inspirational Mike Southon is co-author of several best-selling business books, including The Beermat Entrepreneur and Sales on a Beermat. JEFFREY ARCHER

I was thrilled when international best-selling author Jeffrey Archer agreed to join us to share his wit and wisdom around the theme of money. Reputedly worth £140million but at one time staring into the abyss of bankruptcy, it has often been said that Jeffrey Archer’s own story would make an international bestseller.
Educated at Oxford, an accomplished athlete for Great Britain, at 29, he became Member of Parliament for Louth. After five years in the Commons and a promising political career ahead of him, he invested heavily in a Canadian company called Aquablast, on the advice of the Bank of Boston. The company went into liquidation, and three directors were later sent to jail for fraud. Left with debts of £427,727, and on the brink of bankruptcy, he resigned from the House of Commons.
